"You can't build a point of view in isolation of the business, so we built business training programmes like insurance 101, insurance 201 so that our people can understand the business relevance of what they're doing..."

Vivek Paul Vice Chairman, Wipro

"We are very happy to record that the training imparted was in-depth and relevant for the trainees. The feedback from the trainees was equally good in terms of usefulness and pedagogy, and they have been able to apply the training to practical use "

Shubhayu Sengupta
Head- Human Resources Swiss re Shared Services (India) Pvt Ltd

One of the focus areas of Wipro is insurance. In order to ensure that the insurance team is equipped to handle the IT projects, Wipro wanted to train its entire insurance team in the specifics of the domain. Ibexi has been engaged to provide this training.

This covers:

  Life insurance products and workflow
  Non-life insurance products and workflow
  Pension products and workflow

Based on standard courses available with Ibexi, custom courses have been designed for Wipro.

Encouraged by the quality and usefulness of training, Wipro also engaged Ibexi to provide training to its onshore professionals at their Columbus and Los Angeles locations in USA.

In an interview to The Economic Times, Wipro Vice-Chairman Vivek Paul mentioned the training programs 'Insurance 101' and 'Insurance 201' as one of the ways to transform Wipro's 13,000 strong army of `code cutters' into consultants. He says:

"We have to build for ourselves a reputation capability to do complex project management. How do we handle bigger projects? How do we take end-to-end project responsibilities?

We've launched a few initiatives like a customer leadership interface programme and put our project or programme managers through it.

Also, you can't build a point of view in isolation of the business, so we built business training programmes like insurance 101, insurance 201 so that our people can understand the business relevance of what they're doing."
