Project : Package Design
& development
A large, well established medical products distribution
company, with a 100,000+ sales force, desiring to become
an Insurance Broker, engaged Ibexi on a turnkey development
& implementation project for a comprehensive, integrated
front and back office system for its retail broking operations.
The entire development is web enabled and uses web based
development tools. The requirements consists of the following
modules:
- Insurance Needs Analyst
- Quotation system - Life & non life
- Proposal Processing system
- Rating Engine
- Accounts
- Agents Commission
- MIS/Enquiry
The Insurance Needs Analysts uses raw data captured through
a structured questionnaire to determine the Insurance requirements
of a client. It profiles the prospect based on Age, sex,
Income, Occupation, Family status, asset ownership etc and
through a set of prospect preference rankings determines
the best class of Insurance required and then recommends
the best breed of products, across insurance companies,
available in identified need area.
The quotation, proposal processing and Rating systems are
designed to cater to needs of a variety of Insurance companies
and are therefore designed in a most generic manner. All
rating is completely parameterized and table driven thus
ensuring that not only multiple Insurance companies are
accommodated but any changes in tariff etc can be easily
met without code changes.
